Linda L. McCarren

As an entrepreneur of three beauty academies, Linda has a deep passion for the beauty industry, as well as compassion for all of her students. Linda’s goal is to provide a professional atmosphere conducive to the student’s education.
Karen Lopez
Executive Director/ Financial Aid Coordinator (All Schools)
Karen is a Kittanning Beauty Academy alumni, licensed as an Esthetician and Esthetics Educator. After serving as the Director of Kittanning Beauty Academy for several years, she has joined the administrative team at Butler Beauty Academy as the Executive Director and Financial Aid Coordinator. She also practices esthetics at her skincare studio in Clarion, PA.

Christe Bomber
Compliance Director (All Schools)
As an experienced, dedicated Higher Education Executive with over 20 years of proven track records for delivering strategic growth and achieving organizational goals as a senior executive of private-for-profit, post-secondary proprietary school groups, Christe is a strategic-minded leader with broad experience in project management including facility expansions, educational program development, accreditation, human resources and student performance outcomes.

Liz Montgomery
Director
Prior to Liz graduating from the Teacher Training program in 2022, she has been a licensed cosmetologist for almost 10 years and working in the field since she was 16 years old. She started at Butler Beauty Academy as an educator and after a short break, came back as the Director.
Educators
Josephine “Joey” Scherrah attended Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School while in high school and after graduating completed her training at Butler Beauty Academy. After obtaining her license, she came back to Butler Beauty for the Teacher Training program and has since received her Cosmetology Teacher’s License. She also works at Monarch Collective Beauty Studio as a hairstylist and makeup artist.

Ben Sutley
James is a licensed Massage Therapist with comprehensive training in a wide range of modalities including including Swedish, Myofascial, Sports, Neuromuscular Therapy, Prenatal Massage, Hot Stone, Bamboo, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. A graduate of the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, James promotes wellness through individualized therapeutic techniques.

A graduate of Butler Beauty Academy, Mandy has been an educator at the academy for over 6 years. She worked as a stylist at Fantastic Sam’s. Mandy has obtained a bachelor's degree in education from Slippery Rock University.
Amanda Bayne
Rebecca is a licensed Esthetician, Esthetics Educator, and Lead Medical Aesthetician at Empowered Beauty & Empowered Aesthetics, LLC in Clarion. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Thiel College in International Business, Business Communications, and Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Rebecca graduated Butler Beauty Academy in Esthetics and earned her Esthetician Educator license, later joining the academy as an instructor.

Director
Abby has been immersed in the beauty industry from a very young age. She grew up in her mother’s beauty salon and grandfather’s barber shop, igniting her passion to eventually join the industry. She has worked in administration and management since graduating from college in 2012. Starting out at Butler, she ultimately found her home at Kittanning Beauty Academy.

Educators
With over 30 years of experience in various cosmetology settings, as well as owning her own salon, Delana loves every aspect of the beauty industry. Delana received her cosmetology license form Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in 1979. Her career began at The Hair Port Salon, where she trained with the staff of James Rocco. She cultivated her talent for 11 1/2 years before purchasing her own salon, “Delana’s Hair Salon” operated out of Blairsville, PA for 10 years. Her passion for the beauty industry led her to further her education and graduate with her instructor’s license from Kittanning Beauty Academy. As an experienced educator, she prepares students for their state board examinations and to become successful in his/her career. Her favorite part about being a teacher is watching the students grow both technically and professionally.
Delana Clayton
Nicole received her instructor license from Kittanning Beauty Academy in 2012. Having the opportunity to make changes happen in people’s lives every day, Nicole fulfilled the very purpose she was searching for at KBA. She knew that a career in the beauty industry would always be high in demand and that would mean job stability in the workforce. As a talented instructor, she brings real-world knowledge into the classroom, giving students an insight into the industry and revealing essential skills where students can build their confidence. She loves the relationship that she establishes with the students and being a part of aiding in their journey to become future professionals. The most rewarding part as an educator is being a positive mentor. She teaches students that each client that sits in their chair is allowing them to be successful. Her motto is to teach students to become their healthiest, most beautiful selves inside and outside.
Nicole Anthony
Shirley has been a licensed cosmetologist since 1988. She worked in the field for 22 years prior to attending Kittanning Beauty Academy to obtain her Cosmetology Teacher license. Afterwards, she continued at Kittanning Beauty Academy as an Educator for all courses and as the Director for many years.

Melissa Walls
Director
Melissa is an alumni of Butler Beauty Academy, receiving her Cosmetology license in 1995 and her Educator license in 1996. She has worked as an Educator and Director with our Academies for many years since then, as well as Artisan Beauty Academy and Fountain of Youth Academy of Cosmetology. Melissa has gained many years of experience behind the chair working as a stylist and Manager at Great Clips.

Ashley Budai
Genny is it graduate of Lenape Vocational School and the Beauty Academy in Kittanning for both her nail technician and nail instructor licenses. She owns and operates a salon in Ford City called the Nail Parlor, where she offers furthering education classes. As a master nail artist, Genny's passion for nails shows through with her in-depth instruction and dedication to helping the next generation of artists hone their craft.
